I’m a Vietnamese and I’ve been eating and trying many bowls of Pho at different Vietnamese restaurants across Toronto. This is my first time eating Pho with such a small amount of noodle and meat and it costs me $11! For such a small amount of it. The broth is just ok. Overall, don’t spend your money here. There are plenty of other places that have better value to spend $11 on.
Great vietnamese food and in such weather it is recommended to get the PHO.
Wonderful service, great atmosphere, and the pho has a very clean broth. I love this place, it's my top choice to satisfy my Vietnamese craving.
Too bad I can’t give 0/5 stars. Disgusting pho, rare beef was not fresh and came cold. Really really poor quality.
Outstanding service, tasty food, very clean restaurant and very reasonably priced. I think I'll be back soon!
Food was good only issue was that the takeout containers we were provided with were impossible to eat out if. We didn't have bowls big enough for our pho so we couldn't eat all we had. Buy some proper takeout bowls please!
Pho is mediocre, I've had better. Service is great though. Fried springrolls weren't that great.
It really is. Had lunch there and I totally dig the place. The bowl I got was ginormous and delicious from beginning to end. I hesitated going in there for a long time because I thought the name was a gimmick to distract from subpar food, but a friend dragged me there and I was totally happily surprised.
The pho broth flavour is just ok and the meat has a very odd taste. Didn't love it.
Their pho is ok, not the best one I've ever tried, but ok. Enough to make the tummy happy on a cold day like today. The service was great, no complaints in that department. Overall, after one try, I'd say that I'd be open to coming back since this is one of the few decent options for pho around Yonge & Eglinton.
Consistent and delicious. Friendly staff. I eat there very often and haven't been disappointed.
I go there every month. Great Vietnamese restaurant. I would recommend Fabulous pho if you're a newbie. I personally love Hue spicy beef noodle or traditional Vietnamese there.
I had a good experience when I went here. The service is relatively fast and the restaurant clean. I had the famous pho, which tasted excellent, except for the meatballs which tastes processed and rubbery. It does not have a good texture, and it seems as though it was previously frozen. I also had the deep-fried tofu, which lacked flavour and depth. It was a dry, salty, and chewy coating with bland and unflavourful tofu. Although it lacked, the sauce tasted pretty good with it (I reccomend you dip it into the sauce). Although the food had some flaws, the meal was affordable and quick.
Menu is a bit pricey for a pho restaurant, the food is pretty good though. However service can certainly be better.
Aside from the fact it has a unique and catchy name, It really does have good quality Pho. The chicken broth is made from scratch and cooked over night to give you that homemade broth feeling!
I ordered an avocado shake and it was unlike any avocado shake I've ever had. I think there was some colouring or powder added for a brighter green colour/flavour, wasn't thick and smooth, and a fresh avocado wasn't used. It didn't taste bad but wasn't what I was looking for.I didn't try the food, only the shake for take out.
Pretty flavorful food...
Impolite boss and inexperienced staff. I ordered from ritual and they did not let me eat at the restaurant because I did not order at the restaurant even though the restaurant was all empty and I was the only customer. I use ritual app daily and this is the first time I’ve had such an experience. Even if it is the ritual rule that the order must be taken out (that I am not sure), they could act gently since I had already given them tips. Never gonna go there again. There are many other Vietnamese nearby.
I have been going to this Pho place for years now!! and it always hits the spot. I Really Really love their spring rolls !!
Clean restaurant, lots of room and generous portions. You will come out of the restaurant with pho smell though. Prices are reasonable for a mid town restaurant so don't expect chinatown prices.
I wish I can give half stars so I can give them 3.5, it really wasn’t a 4 but closer to a 3 I think.I think for the price, they give you decent amount of food for the pho dish I had. It was good but the soup was definitely not as meaty as some other places. But, that being said, it might be a good place for new Pho-comers to try Pho because it won’t be as “pungent”.It was clean, fast, good service i think.
3/5 portions and taste, 4 for clean look
Ordered a Pho and Vermicelli. Friendly staff but delayed service. Food was average, not too salty. Dishes weren't too authentic, average Canadian would be able to enjoy. Clean, slow service, and dishes don't come out at the same time. Would be a nice place for regular family dinner.
My order came with practically raw chicken that didn't cook properly in the broth at all. When I asked them why they served me raw chicken they responded "sorry we're very busy tonight". So being busy makes it ok to potentially make someone very ill? A health inspector needs to go in there. Surprised they're still in business.
Not particularly fabulous. Very basic, dishes on the smaller side, skimpy with toppings on the pho.
It's a delicious place, very filling but doesn't make you feel super full! The portions are just the right amount, and the food is deliciously lightweight!Everytime I go here their service is quick and efficient. Would recommend for sure.
Great location! Amazing food and great prices! Had a great lunch meeting thank you!
My soup wasn't hot. The so called "chicken" curry was watery like milk and there was barely any chicken but loads of cauliflower as a filler. We got up and left, awful experience. Never again
Food is good, portions are good, the only issue is the service is phoking atrocious. Expect to wait 25 - 30 minutes just for the staff to get around to taking your order - and thats if the place is dead.
I noticed this restaurant for a while but only tried it today. First, great name! It's the name that got me in. I tried their spicy beef noodles and it was so tasty! Service was quick and friendly. Will come back to try other food.
Pho King Average doesn't have the same ring to it but it would be a more suitable name. Nothing really made it stand out from the other bazillion Pho restaurants out there. Found it to be a bit pricey for what you actually received and the service was slow for the time of day we were eating. I might give it another Pho King chance in the summer as I'm not in this area too often. Fingers crossed!!
It was nice and quiet. The service was quick and friendly. The food was good. My partner's spicy soup was spicier than usual so he didn't end up finishing it all. I'll admit, it was a little too spicy. Mine was great though.
Love coming here. The Veggie pho is amazing and staff are very friendly. Food comes out nice and hot and in huge portions. Great value for money. Heading there again this Friday. Keep up the good work!
Had the grilled pork chops with rice. It was pretty standard but good.Never had a bubble tea, but in this photo you can see the flavours.
So glad to see you are open again. I have been craving your fresh rolls and peanut sauce all pandemic. Looking forward to when we can dine in but delivery is holding us over.
The reason im doing this is because of the clever name, 10/10 didnt go here yet but will!
Great pho. Generous portions with fresh ingredients
Good noodles! First time I tried this place and will definitely come back.
Food and staff's were good. Specially beef pho was great.
Well done. Very good broth.
I pho king love this place.
My first time visiting. Food and service is amazing. It will be my go-to place now.
Nice place with a decent amount of seating. The staff are all very friendly and took our order quickly. Food was nice and flavouful. We ordered a Pho to share and vermicelli bowl each. The pho was really good but a little on the small side but that was ok since it was delicious. The vermicelli bowl was ok, the meat seemed a little cold. Might have been waiting on the pho to be prepared. Would repeat on a cold day.
The pho was good (a bit on the pricier side for pho) but they only have 2 soup sizes small and large. They are too focused on their mobile-app orders in the back to focus on their customers in the dining room. You can get way better pho in Toronto for cheaper.
Fresh Rolls (shrimp) - $6.95 as a starterThe size of the Fresh Roll was very decent and it was perfect as a starter. I could tell that the skin of rice paper was fresh and chewy. It went well with the served peanut sauce. Fabulous Pho (M) - $10.50. The pho I ordered was the one in beef broth. It came with generous amounts of meat and noodles. It would be nice if the soup had a little bit deeper flavour, but I enjoyed it enough to drink up almost the last drop of the soup. I think this pho is very good for this price.
Delicious veg pho dish. Great range of veggies, with some tofu for protein.
less that average. I ordered the spicy 'make your own pho'. asked for rare beef and tendon. I got well done brisket and a watery broth. Yeah, it was spicy.. but a few chili flakes in water does not make a good broth. And def. not worth $12 for a small. oh well, ya live, ya learn. Never Pho-King going back there.
no hot chilies or hoisin sauce..at table...there is no such things is beef ball in Vietnamese noodles...real vietnamese beef noodles only come with beef flank or tendon...keep the beef ball out...
Best pho meat I have had in a while. More upscale pho place, so be prepared for smaller portions. Really enjoyed their house special pho.
Awesome name.Good food.I am now fat.
